Things Going Smoothly?..... Naaaaah xD

Hheheeei!

Another post so soon, didn't think it's possible.
Saturday was an eventful day, kinda(welp, compared to how I've been living for the past week, yes it was). The day started at 7 a.m. getting ready for the SNU Buddy Olympics, which began at 9:30.

I got a crowded'place'get'me'out'of 'here'fast attack and just lay around until lunch. Well, I did try to participate in a game and failed miserably *shocking*. Here I was fooling myself that I can handle crowds AND sports at the same time, bad idea.

I didn't really enjoy the event so during the lunch break I took my stuck'up (according to Andrei) ass back to the dormitory, had some  food, read and took a nap. I woke up from my hibernation state at about 3 p.m. and lazed around(maybe read too, I'm not the most lucid person after sleeping so I don't remember) until 4.30 when the event had finished and Andrei called to see if I wanted to go to Rainbows & co. in Ichon. As I was ready to get out of the room, I received a message saying that those who got the message can participate in the EXO Showcase( I registered  for it but hadn't got anything until then) and to proceed to the entrance.

I was flailing and panicking because the showcase was starting at 5 p.m. and the venue was 40 minutes or so away. I took a cab, spent the amount I use for food for a day and got to the venue 10 to 20 minutes late and the security refused to let us in (there were other people in the same situation).

After negotiating(aka whining) coming from a group of Chinese girls they let us in so I quickly sat on the stairs as soon as I saw that no more seats were available. Luckily, no one was brave enough to throw out the wild waeguk so I was safe, even though there was some staring. To my surprise, Leeteuk appeared on the stage as the MC for the event.(scratch one off the list, 10+ to go, why you make it so hard Super Junior T_T)

The Showcase was more like a live version of the teasers, there were no full songs besides History,  the title track and maybe What is Love. They had a Q&A session where I found out that Tao(le martial arts suspicious'looking, sporting some fab dark circles sir) is the king of aegyo.

They were gorgeous and I was greatly entertained( also realized Lay is just as talented at talking in Korean as I am, yusss I feel better about my potato moments now). I also hope to see them again soon. I admit that at first I liked them partially to troll my friends, but now that I've seen them I think they're pretty good, and the album will be amazing if they put in the songs which were in the trillion teasers(something else I found entertaining instead of annoying, I think I might have some issues).

(le big poster outside and le fail selca with Lay in the background hurr hurr)

As everything was over and I got out of the hall, Super Junior's van left the venue as well, with 5+ fangirls running after the car screaming for their Oppar......(and you wonder why everyone thinks you're cuckoo in the head)

Anyway, I got some stuff to keep as a souvenir and ended up with Kai's nipple on a tumbler (still better than on a mouse pad which I'd see every minute or so; I'm thinking of starting to collect them (tumblers not Kai's nipples for you perverts out there) and a phone strap(which is also graced with Kai's nipple*facepalm*, have you people no other pictures?)

So that's about it, I shall update again once something interesting happens.

p.s. It's April!

0330

Haaaaaiz! It's about time I wrote something I guess ^^;

So not much has happened lately(and I have pictures to prove it, if you know what I mean :>). Friday was my birthday, so we went out, first to Yeoido then Ichon. In Yeoido we got some sandwiches and what I like to call  Cocoa Milk(which makes me homesick but it's sooooo gooood). It was fun, Andrei looked up on the Internet stuff that happened in the 30th of March, then february 5th and laughed my ass off when he discovered he was born in  the same day as Gica Hagi.

After surfing 9gag and scaring away some ajumelas and other customers with my teary laugh when trying to explain to Andrei about an earlier post (sorreh nenea Kim ;_;) our stay was cut short because Andrei told Anca that we're going to Ichon and we'll meet her there (after I told him I didn't want to leave yet).

I was sulky the whole way to the cafe but once we got there rainbows started flying all over. The waiters there are the fairyest(no, I didn't misspell) people I've met. It is humanly impossible to go there and still be upset about something. All they're missing are some fairy wings and magic wands. Andrei couldn't keep his mouth shut and told them it was my birthday, so they brought me a piece of cheesecake.
Anca arrived some time later and Andrei introduced her to 9gag as well, so our evening was spent watching our monitors and gigglesnorting every 3 minutes(and I wonder why Koreans are uncomfortable with foreigners).

I got presents from both Andrei and Anca, which was a surprise because I didn't expect anything as my  plan for the day was to stay in and be homesick/foreveralone, so thank you guys!*hugs*

So Fluffy I'm Gonna Implode

HoHoHo(appropriate greeting is appropriate, the weather is a tyrant)

There hasn't been much posting material lately, partly because we're having a weird energy'less phase and we're also running low on fuel(if you know what I mean*wigglebrow*) so we can't go out as much as we used to. That's why I'll comprise several days in one post.

Firstly, this week we started going out with Anca, so we took her to places we liked, like Yongsan, Ichon(Andrei) and Yeoido(me). Bless her soul, I bet she wasn't interested in them like me in math(hurr hurr so sexay) but she was too nice to refuse us. Our divine meat on a stick(for which we went all the way to faaabulous'dahling Gangnam'gu) was also met with a 'meh' reaction that would rival my life'sucking aura that accompanied me these days. She liked Yeoido tho so yay!

Fastforwarding to important matters. Sunday we went out with Kwak teacher's parents. All I can say is D'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

They were too precious for words. They took us out to eat (I finally had french fries since I came here *unicorn music*) and tried their best to speak English to us, so that we can understand them better (and teacher said they don't know English o.O heck, they know more than the youngins who are said to learn sooo much in school). We talked about us, we talked about them, about Teacher (I could hardly keep back my tears on hearing how much he worried about us and how much he called his parents trying to help and make sure that we don't run into any trouble)

Now I know I'm kind of a crybaby(when no one's watching) but Andrei was tearing up too so I don't think it's just me. After eating Umma went away for a while for what I thought it was a bathroom visit. Meanwhile we chatted with le super'duper'awesome'sauce Kwak Appa and found out more about him and his family. He also tried to encourage us, which only made me weep some more xD. When she came back, Kwak Umma had three big bags, each containing 2 cakes. I was so ashamed because we didn't bring anything (Teacher made us promise not to, wae u do dis to us? :C)
I didn't know such warm people exist, I swear they are fairy-tale material(Teacher too). They made our day, week and month. I can't wait to meet them again next month, when we will visit the National Folk Village.
So I think I'm pretty much back on track, not much is happening since lately I study more and go out less, but I can't ignore my duties(especially after screwing up in industrial amounts, like a boss, like I always do).

P.S.
It's almost the middle of March and I miss my calendar back home ;-;

P.P.S. Random things I don't know where to include:
some tall buildings for Lexie

Le Huge Crab...Place?

and a conference we passed on our way to find the above mentioned divine meat on a stick
(now here's three ...people?... I didn't think I'd see together)

Sisific Efforts

So....I thought it's time to get out of my comfort zone and write again [and not let this year's resolution meet the past ones at the failure's terminal station just yet]

As Andrei already mentioned, we went to visit the largest palace in Seoul, 경복궁. The place was absolutely captivating, and even if you're not interested in history, palaces and such[historical dramas included] this place would make you want to be. I hadn't much interest either, besides what was necessary for classes but once I got inside I was enchanted, wishing to be able to go back in time and spend a day there and see how a day went by. I know it sounds cheesy and rehearsed[and heaven knows I'm not one to approve of such behavior, bah], but it's true, and I do hope that everyone who doubts my words has the chance to visit it and see for themselves.

Some pictures to try and bring a little of the feeling that surrounds the place:

     traditional room

the street Andrei was talking about, with various shops and buildings from the early 1900s.

barber shop, the radio was on, freaky~

restaurant, and because we weren't allowed to bite random stuff(and is generally frowned upon in nowadays society too) I spent a lot of time wondering if the food on the tables was real or not

classroom

random dude in a photo who looks like Eli

study room

walkie talkie yangbans/guards (credit to Andrei)

So much about the palace visit, beautiful beautiful place but crowded, it was very difficult to take pictures and not have a wild visitor in it. All in all, it was worthwhile. To prevent my bubble from bursting and avoid arrest for destroying royal property by bite (as I mentioned before, it is frowned upon) we departed in a quest for finding food as the walkie talkies started to look like sandwiches to my eyes.

Last but not least, big thanks for your support, I'll try to repay you with less lackluster posts and more fun(hope I didn't lose it for good)

...Shoutouts?

Short post to say how much I love nice people. Today we met a uber cute old man who, instead of explaining how to get to a location, took us there himself. We walked for about 15-20 minutes and talked a lot(being praised for our Korean and good looks was a given). It was really heartwarming to be treated so well by a complete stranger. I wish him many many years of happiness and health from now on :'). As if this wasn't blessing enough, we met a police officer who gave us water, coffee, canned coffee and health drinks; just because o.o .
When heading home, Andrei and I were bored, sleepy and felt that the day didn't go great, but thinking back on it, these two people made it amazing.

And because seriousness is so uncharacteristic of this blog I will end the post here sending nice people good thoughts and you a gif(oh snap), as per usual:

I kid, I kid, you're nice too(I hope)

Back on track

Now, yesterday. I'm getting tired of mentioning how many times I got lost, so from now on I'll only note the times I don't, since I think that's more noteworthy (I got nicknamed 'Lady Gets Lost A Lot' (or lady gets lancelot, something like that, don't really know, ask Andrei). I did get kind of lost, got a half hour late to the Main Gate but that wasn't a problem because Andrei didn't even go there, he went to the dormitory (dude, please stick to your plan, I have no phone to be able to reach you). Waited an hour, walked around then wild Internet appeared.

I managed to get in contact with him and we took the subway(the place of everlasting crowd) to go 경복궁, the largest imperial palace. I wanted to exchange money to buy bedding and other things I needed for my room but since it was a national holiday, the banks were closed.(note, people don't really listen to you here, whether you speak English or Korean, they use random answer and flee, it is very effective!see what I did there kkk)
Luckily, Andrei noticed a small exchange office and one issue was checked off the list. After having coffee and Andrei drive me crazy about the palace we went to see it(together with a million other people, brilliant idea choosing a national holiday lol). There was a huge crowd (bubbles bursting all over >.<) and, of course, protesters weren't missing. We passed the first gate, saw some more people and decided to get out and come back on a normal, peaceful day.
After the not-so-successful visit we went to the Yongsan market (it is a MUST go, you can find everything there, especially electronics 8}) I got my bedding and a Polaroid 8D
We didn't have energy to walk around the whole 8 floors of the market so after looking at phones we returned to Namdaemun, had another coffee/tea and went home. I will now once again declare my love for these coffee shops. Products are delicious, interior looks great and the staff is so so nice(considering the fact that there are no tips, in Romania they are grumpy and annoying and expect you to pay them for it like they go through such hard labor for you). At one point I even went to ask the waiters what song was playing because it was very very good and they gladly told me(even  wrote it down, took us a while to decipher the writing though xD).

To be continued....

Hiiiii

(this is because I'm bored and need to entertain myself)

I kind of lost track of what happened and what I need to write since I last updated the blog, heh. I remember saying that the universe would troll me(I was right)
So I left the guest house and moved into the dorm. The campus is gorgeous and I am forever side-eyeing people who take the bus to get around it.
Of course I got lost on the way and arrived an hour late to the Main Gate, the place I was supposed to meet Andrei. The cool thing was that I had my 25 kilos luggage with me. Arrived tired and fuming at the gate, which prevented Andrei to scold me for being late (phew). Found the Language Institute, took the test, lalala, boring stuff.(got level 5, don't even know if that's good or bad)

After I took my luggage to the room(which looks close to a room in Hasdeu, but with an electric appliances restriction >:[ ) we went to the YG building and I got some more blackmailing material on Andrei le fanboy, kkkkk.

We saw or first trash bin on the street(yep, on day 3 or 4) and some more engrish:

I was hungry but had only 7000 on me so we went to find some cheap food. Andrei got ddokboki again and I got kimchi kimbap(which of course was spicy and I couldn't finish it; good thing Andrei is like mom, he likes everything and finished the food for me).

I didn't have bedding the first night ;_; froze my ass and my eye got swollen lol, I don't even know why. o.O (it's fine now btw).

Life is hard, puf ;_; (but at least it gives me something to talk about, better than doing nothing all day and letting time fly by me)
